First Person Shooters (FPS)

First-person shooter or FPS is a video game genre which is characterized by an onscreen view that shows the in-game character's point of view and a focused on the use of handheld ranged weapons. FPS is also a term used by tactical response teams as the person who shoots first. First-person shooters have been subject to substantial controversy because of the levels of violence included in most games. The level of realism is increased when the video game world is seen through the first-person perspective.
